A Poem for Mothers
No words could properly describe the strength
No gift could ever repay all the love
No card could ever thank her for the lengths
She went to so that I would have enough
For me, she chose to put her dreams on hold
And by my side, she’s stood through all the years
Her sacrifice for me went long untold
As selflessly she helped me face my fears
It seems unfair to only give one day
To recognize the million things she does
Since I was born, she’s helped me find my way
Through everything, she’s been the face of love
So to my mom and mother’s everywhere
I’m thankful for the countless things you’ve shared.
